Compare traffic across NanoCorp businesses
A larger visitor count does not always mean a business is growing faster. First check the period and the measurement. Then decide which business deserves a closer look.
Match the visitor windows
EmpireDashboard's Overview and Business view show Visitors for the last 7 days. The public Empire page uses 30-day snapshots.
Do not compare those counts directly. Check the displayed UTC start and end times before comparing with NanoCorp.
For a manual comparison, use the same start and end timestamps for every business. Avoid comparing today's reading with yesterday's screenshot.
NanoCorp's official FAQ describes website analytics for visitors, pages and referrers. Those measurements answer different questions.
Visitors are not pageviews
EmpireDashboard reads NanoCorp's unique visitor count for each business. It does not replace missing Visitors with pageviews or sessions.
A visitor can open several pages. Pageviews therefore cannot tell you how many people visited.
Portfolio totals add the individual business counts. Someone who visits two businesses may contribute to both counts.
Treat that total as traffic across businesses, not a count of distinct people across your entire portfolio.
Separate zero from unavailable
Zero means NanoCorp returned no recorded Visitors for that window. A dash means the figure is unavailable, not zero.
When a business's count is unavailable, EmpireDashboard does not present a partial portfolio sum as the complete total.
Open the business's NanoCorp dashboard and check the matching period. Retry the Overview later if the connection cannot retrieve figures.
Do not make a spending decision from an unavailable count. A recorded zero also does not establish why traffic is absent.
Read snapshots as windows
Each seven-day snapshot records a rolling window, not visitors from that single day. Consecutive windows overlap.
Adding seven daily snapshots would count overlapping traffic repeatedly. Use the requested period's count instead.
Since yesterday compares the current seven-day count with a saved count from the previous UTC day. It is not today's visitors.
History begins with saved snapshots. Missing counts, unknown periods or gaps can make the history line unavailable.
Choose the next check
- Match the periods, then find a business whose visitor count has changed.
- Review that business's pages and referrers in NanoCorp before attributing the change to a campaign.
- Check Revenue separately. EmpireDashboard currently labels Revenue all time, so it is not a seven-day sales comparison.
Visitors show recorded attention, not purchases or satisfaction. Use them to choose what to investigate, not to declare a business successful.
Our daily portfolio guide puts that check alongside Waiting status and Revenue.
Read the connection guide before authorizing account access. The permission is broad; EmpireDashboard's behavior is read-only.
The Free plan shows up to 2 businesses. The Empire plan costs $9/month for every business, daily history and an optional Empire page.
