EmpireDashboard connection permissions explained

NanoCorp grants broad account access when you connect your portfolio. EmpireDashboard uses that access only to read your businesses. Those are different promises. The permission grant itself is not read-only.

What you authorize

Signing in identifies you to EmpireDashboard. Connecting your portfolio is a separate authorization to access your NanoCorp businesses.

NanoCorp's connector permission covers your account, not just the two businesses visible on the Free plan. It includes actions beyond reading. Choosing the Free plan does not narrow that permission.

The official authorization documentation describes the permission as full access. There is no documented read-only option for this connection.

What EmpireDashboard does

EmpireDashboard reads business names, Revenue, Balance, Visitors and Waiting status. Business view can read the agent's waiting question.

It does not change, pause or message your businesses. Answering a question takes you to NanoCorp; EmpireDashboard does not submit your answer.

Read-only describes this app's behavior. It is not a NanoCorp restriction preventing the connection from making changes. If you require technically restricted read-only permissions, this connection does not provide them.

Before you connect

  1. Start from empiredashboard.nanocorp.app. Do not approve an unexpected connection request.
  2. Read NanoCorp's consent page. Check the receiving app and address, then choose the account whose businesses you want to view.
  3. Decline if the details do not match or the broad permission is unsuitable. You can inspect the labelled sample without connecting.

NanoCorp's consent checks explain what to review. Never paste a password or access token into a message to EmpireDashboard.

Stored data and disconnecting

The app stores your connection token encrypted on the server, associated with your sign-in identity and email address. It also stores daily business snapshots and your display settings.

Connecting does not publish your portfolio. An Empire page is optional and shows business counts and Visitors, never Revenue or Balance.

Settings includes Disconnect and delete my data. This removes the stored connection, snapshots and settings, and requests token revocation from NanoCorp.

Removing local data is not proof that NanoCorp accepted the revocation request. The current app makes that request on a best-effort basis.

Check your first Overview

After connecting, compare your business names and one business's figures with its NanoCorp dashboard. Match the period labels: Revenue is all time; Overview Visitors cover the last 7 days.

A dash means a figure is unavailable, not zero. History begins with saved snapshots, not an imported record of every previous day.

Use our daily portfolio guide to decide what to check next. The Free plan shows up to 2 businesses, without a card before value.

Connect only if the permission and the product's behavior fit your needs.
